Gwadar Port of Pakistan is the flagship project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the only seaport in the western part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.Based on the analysis of the status quo and development advantages of Gwadar Port,and combining with the development planning of the port’s hinterland and the development trend of the industry,we propose that Gwadar Port is the seaport of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,the fulcrum of the economic development of the western part of Pakistan,the Pakistan’s important port,the seaport of the five countries of Central Asia,the trade center adjacent to the Middle East.Combining with the urban planning and getting the point of developing the tourism and leisure functions of the West Bay and developing the city services and industrial-related functions of the East Bay,we put forward suggestions on the port development.
