Abstract:In the port construction in some areas where is lack of stone materials, conventional stable granule materials are often used for the base course of storage yard, and thus a lot of stones are needed, resulting in high construction cost.In order to make full use of local resources and save the investment cost,we carry out a research on the application of cement-bonded sand for the base course of the storage yard.Based on the French standard, and using the required sedimentary sand or granitic sand decomposed by impact as raw material,we take CBR value as the main design control index and strength standard of the cement-bonded sand, use the road mixer for field mixing and construction, and implement the test and verification of all indicators in the test section. The results show that the cement-bonded sand can be selected as the base course material for port storage yard in the area with limited resources, which could effectively solve the problem of stone shortage in the project site.
