Abstract:According to the actual needs of Hong Kong artificial island engineering of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge,various breakwaters are demonstrated.The container floating breakwater is specially designed by numerical simulation and three-dimensional potential flow theory.This kind of breakwater is very effective in wave dissipating and low-cost,making the construction of large-diameter cellular steel sheet piles possible.Most parts of the container floating breakwater can be processed by waste materials in line with the green development.Its structure is simple and easy to recycle for the characteristics of fast installation,quick transferring and rapid disassembling.The container floating breakwater achieved satisfactory application effect in Hong Kong artificial island engineering as a temporary sea wave protection structure and is applicable widely.
