Jiepai reach lies in the middle of the Yangtze River.Its riverbed evolution is complicated and the beach has changed dramatically.Based on the summarization of the river’s evolution law,we carry out the waterway regulation works.Combining with the existing projects,we analyze the regulation effect.The analyzing result reveals that the regulation projects have inhibited the adverse changes of the channel conditions,the low beach at the transition section is basically stable,and the transition position is controlled.It lays a good foundation for the follow-up treatment of the reaches,and obtains experience for the long and straight river regulation.
