Infrastructure construction is an important part of the strategy implementation on “the Belt and Road”,and dredging and reclamation are the pioneers in the construction of port terminals and other infrastructure,but the foundation can’t be directly used for the engineering construction and must be reinforced to meet the engineering needs,which is the top priority of building’s stability and safety.In view that inadequate analysis of the engineering geologic data leads to improper type selection of the dredging equipment which results in the construction delay and nonstandard quality control standards and engineering requirement lead to disapproval by the engineering consultants,and based on two cases of overseas projects on reclamation and soil improvement engineering,we summarize and analyze the latest large-scale dredging equipment at home and abroad,and discuss the development orientation of China’s dredging equipment;analyze the existing problems,solution ideas and construction techniques in the process of overseas foundation treatment,and explain international standards in the engineering,so as to provide a guidance for similar projects along the Belt and Road.
