Abstract:For the structures of submerged breakwater which are widely used in practical engineering,the physical model test method is adopted to study the influence of different face protection forms on the transmission coefficient of the submerged breakwater under the action of irregular waves.The effects of relative top depth,relative top width and deep water wave steepness on the transmission coefficient of the submerged breakwater are discussed.Effect of different surface blocks on wave breaking characteristics is discussed too.Then the improved empirical formulas on the basis of previous researches are proposed to provide theory reference for the design of submerged breakwater.
