Abstract:Aiming at series of problems of the traditional concrete armor block installation methodology including the lack of block installation accuracy, insufficient interlock and unguaranteed installation quality under severe wave condition and high-standard installation requirement,we introduce the components and working theory of the Echoscope system,a real-time 3D sonar imaging system, and describe the specification and requirement of ACCROPODETMⅡ based on the breakwater engineering of a new port expansion project abroad.Using the real-time 3D imaging sonar of Echoscope and GPS-RTK positioning technology,we solve the problems of armor block’s placing under adverse wave condition, and improve the installation efficiency significantly as well.
