Abstract:Using the static limit equilibrium method and finite element(FE)limit equilibrium method,we compute and compare the safety factors of the typical slope revetment design section, and research the influence factors on safety coefficient of slope stability, including the infiltration surface calculation method, water level difference and the load on top of the slope. The results show that the effective shear stress field calculated by the FE limit equilibrium method can intuitively reflect the existing area of the sliding arc,and the calculation result is relatively conservative;and the calculation of infiltration surface has a limited impact on the results of complex soils;due to the influence of pore water pressure, the calculation results of the static limit equilibrium method and the FE limit equilibrium method shows the opposite trend as the water level increases;with the increase of the load at the top of the slope, the results of the static limit equilibrium method and the FE limit equilibrium method have the same trend, while the results of the simplified Fellenius method are closer to the FE results.
