Abstract:Zhajiao river reach is a typical branch channel in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River,which has the obstruction characteristics of bend,shallow,danger and torrent,so it is difficult to implement the regulation.Considering comprehensively the reasons of navigation obstruction,the target of regulation and the relation between two branches,we put forward three different ideas,and carry out experimental research by the physical model.The results show that the effect of opening a new navigation channel,adjusting the split ratio and obtaining the balance between two branches is better,which can fundamentally solve the problem of navigation obstruction and realize simultaneous navigation of the two branches.
