Abstract:Currently,the allowable wave height of anchorage in fishing port in our country is empirically determined with reference to foreign regulations,which is lack of effective studies.The physical model experiment on the allowable wave height of bow-stern anchoring of three ships side by side is carried out and 275HP trawler is represented as the typical ship.The anchoring force and movement of bow-stern anchoring system of three fishing boats under irregular waves are studied and further compared with the results of the single boat.The experimental results show that the anchoring force and rolling angle of the inside ship which is not directly affected by the wave are bigger than the outside ship which is directly affected by the wave.When the wave height and wave period in the port are bigger,the anchoring method of three ships side by side is safer than the single boat anchoring.According to the experiment,the allowable wave height for three ships anchored side by side is bigger than the value for the single ship anchored,and 0.9 m is suggested in the experiment.
