In view of the impacts of the bridge’s span arrangement on the construction cost,engineering implementation,as well as the landscape,considering the characteristics of waterway construction and waterway-crossing bridge construction in Shanghai,and analyzing relevant requirements on the bridge’s span arrangement stipulated in the current codes,we explore a more reasonable way of ridge’s span arrangement and get to know the condition for the pier installation in water,so as to provide reference for the code modification.
