In view of present problems in common revetments including material hardening,unitary basic function and poor ecological and environmental benefits in river regulation,this paper studies the ecological revetment technology.Based on the comparative analysis of the types,characteristics and functions of traditional revetments and new ecological ones,it reveals that the ecological revetment can not only play an important role in flood protection,waterlogging drainage,water diversion and shipping industry,but also functions in ecology,environmental protection,leisure and entertainment.
