Abstract:To accurately simulate the wave field distribution of Lianyungang sea area during typhoon transit period,we use the atmospheric model WRF to simulate the 10 meters wind speed above the sea level.The wave mode MIKE-SW driven by the wind field is used to simulate the 0713 typhoon waves growing process.The comparisons between the simulated and measured values show that the WRF model successfully simulates the typhoon Wipha’s moving and changing process.Considering the effect of storm surge water’s increase,the MIKE-SW model can reflect typhoon wave’s growing process during the typhoon transit in Lianyungang sea area.
