Considering some features of vacuum preloading technique of improving shallow ultra-soft soil foundation,we establish the consolidation theory of sand drains foundation of shallow ultra-soft soil.Its analytical solutions are obtained based on the non-uniform distribution of negative pressure boundary condition.The analytical solutions are closer to the practical engineering,and its calculation accuracy can meet the engineering requirements.
