Based on the analysis of the hydrological characteristics of Zhanjiang port’s entrance channel，combining with the local operating characteristics of the ship，we calculate the riding high tide level propose the solution for the tidal entry according to the characteristics of tidal delay of the inner channel and outer channel,which is more economical and reasonable.
