The reliability analysis of hydraulic steel gates has always been a hot spot. Domestic and foreign scholars have conducted a lot of explorations and experiments. They have achieved many achievements and meanwhile raise more questions. Among these studies, those on the system reliability of gates gradually show great importance and urgency. This paper summarizes the research on the system reliability for hydraulic steel gates and makes an appropriate outlook for it , hoping to provide reference for further research in this field.
