This paper introduces the engineering practices of reclamation in different areas of south China.Based on the comparative analysis of the strengthening effect, difficulty of construction, construction period and investment of various land formation and ground treatment alternatives, this paper discusses the proper reclamation scheme for south China and recommends a scheme characterized by rational technology, appropriate construction period and low investment, which may serve as a reference for similar reclamation engineering.
