Base on the analysis of the sediment movement regulation and channel siltation mechanism for the outer channel of Sheyang port, we evaluate the regulation schemes for the entrance channel of Sheyang port. Starting from the analysis of channel siltation mechanism, we introduce the general ideas for carrying out a series of research and evaluation work to sort out the potential problems, point out matters needing further research, and provide a reference for the construction of similar projects in the future.
