This paper analyzes the project cost components of three structures of a container terminal in the preliminary design stage which provides the optimal direction for the designers and builders. The comparison results show that the program cost plug-in steel cylinder has an evident advantage. The cost of gravity caisson structure is comparatively high, but it has great advantages in using of the pier. The results provide a theoretical basis for decision-makers to choose the final construction program.
