This paper summarizes the common handling technologies in heavy cargo wharf, based on existing handling technology-bridge pier technology, proposes a new handling technology named fixed gantry crane technology, and introduces its key parts and details. The new handling technology, fixed gantry crane technology, has been used in Harbin heavy cargo wharf, and a lot of economic returns and social benefits have been achieved.
