Laokou navigation hub is one of the important construction projects in Guangxi Xijian River Golden Waterway. The hub around the selected river dam site is located downstream of the confluence between anti-S-shaped river. Navigation conditions and lock arrangement is the key of the overall design. Through the exposition on the construction scale, dam site characteristics, general layout, filling & emptying system, hydraulic structures and features, as well as the metallic structures, this paper briefs the main technical characteristics of the lock, so as to provide a reference for the navigation hub’s lock design.
