The coastal area of Zhejiang is superior not only in geographic location, port resources,hinterland and market, but also in collection and distribution of trades. Thus, it becomes the best location for the coal storage, transportation and trading within the Yangtze River Delta region. Based on the demand of the market, this paper explores the development of the coal storage base, transportation system and logistics market based on the analysis of the regional demand to coal and the transportation patterns, so as to ensure the coal economic security.
