In wharf construction, since the covering layer of strata is very thin due to the affection from its surrounding geologic condition, the rock-socketed filling pile has been widely applied. The judgement of the terrane’s quality of rock-socketed filling pile is the key in the design, construction and supervision. This paper expounds the judgement of the terrane’s quality during constrution of rock-socketed filling piles, and proposes countermeasures which have been applied to the real project.
