The paper mainly introduces the principle of ground improvement by impact rolling, features of construction technology and consolidation effect. Experimental studies show that the impact rolling compaction not only achieves the same effect as or better effect than the general compaction, but also significantly reduces the construction time and cost. Therefore, it has a broad application prospect in ground treatment of port engineering.
