Located at the meeting-point of the Yangtze River and Jialingjiang River, Chongqing port shouders the mission of the construction of the upper Yangtze River shipping centre because of its unique position under the support of national policy. Chongqing port should improve its own inadequacies, bravely accept the challenges from neighboring ports and enhance city-port cooperation, enterprise-port cooperation and port-port cooperation in order to enhance its international competitiveness, deepen functions of the upper Yangtze River shipping centre and promote the economic development of the upper Yangtze River and the whole country.
