Abstract:Pipeline solidification can reduce external mixing of dredged sludge, and has advantages of lower cost and rapid construction. However, traditional applications suffer from poorly arranged obstacles and weak solidification effects. In this paper,SolidWorks flow simulation mode is used to study the effects of conical obstacle layout modes with different distances of the bottom and side walls of a pipe unit on the uniformity index and flow velocity.A reasonable layout is proposed. The results show that,in the bottom-side layout, the mixing effect improves when the conical obstacles are placed closer. The mixing effect is also improved when the obstacles are closer to the feed pipe outlet. The best uniformity index is 0.776.When the obstacles are moved downstream, mixing decreases. The difference of uniformity index from the worst layout is 0.072.Under the optimal bottom-side-bottom-side baffle layout, the flow velocity decreases and the mixing affect is markedly enhanced. The uniformity index reaches a maximum of 0.987.Compared with the case with only two obstacles, the uniformity index increases by 27%.The experimental results are in agreement with the simulation results. After disturbance by conical obstacles, the uniformity index of the mixture approaches 1.This layout is shown to be feasible.
